Families Mentoring Families exists to break the cycle of trafficking and poverty across Africa by reuniting families, providing literacy and leadership education, and walking with survivors through repatriation and aftercare. We operate across six countries, and every program, every safe house, every rescued woman, every child learning to read is made possible by a team of volunteers who believe freedom is worth fighting for.

Whether you've been to Ghana with us, you're planning your first expedition, or you've just discovered this work and feel the pull to be part of it, there's a place for you here. Below are the twelve committees that make this mission move. Find the one that fits your gifts, and let's get you connected.

FINANCES Keeping the mission financially sound, transparent, and sustainable. Bookkeeping, accounting, tax compliance, requisitions, reimbursements, payroll. You ensure every dollar is stewarded well so the work can continue without interruption.

REPATRIATION & AFTERCARE Walking survivors from rescue to restoration, one woman and one family at a time. Aftercare center coordination, repatriation logistics, travel arrangements, case management, program development, safe house operations, facilities management, staff training. You hold the container where healing happens.

LITERACY Giving families the gift of education so they can break the cycle for good. Curriculum development, program logistics, assessment and metrics, supplies coordination, events, management training. You create the pathways that turn illiteracy into opportunity.

LEADERSHIP EDUCATION Raising up the next generation of leaders across Africa. Curriculum design, course development, mentoring programs, leadership training, registration and coordination. You invest in the people who will lead their communities forward.

VOLUNTEERS Connecting people with purpose, making sure every hand finds meaningful work. Volunteer recruitment, onboarding, coordination, service project planning. You work closely with the Donations committee to match volunteers with the needs on the ground.

DONOR RELATIONS Keeping donors connected to the mission and the lives their generosity changes. Donor updates and communication, appreciation activities, relationship building. You make sure every person who gives knows their impact is real.

DONATIONS Turning physical generosity into the supplies, tools, and resources families need most. Donation pickup and drop-off coordination, storage, inventory management. You work with Volunteers and other committees to ensure donations meet real needs.

EXPEDITIONS Bringing teams to the field so they can see the work, serve the mission, and carry the story home. Trip logistics, coordination, on-the-ground support. You make it possible for people to experience FMF firsthand and return as lifelong advocates.

TECH / WEBSITE Building and maintaining the digital infrastructure that keeps the mission visible and accessible. Website updates, tech troubleshooting, platform management. You make sure the online presence works as hard as the people on the ground.

EVENTS Creating moments that move people, from donor appreciation to fundraising that fuels the mission. Event planning and coordination, donor appreciation activities, fundraiser execution. You work with Marketing & Development to turn gatherings into generosity.

CONTENT CREATION Telling the story of freedom through video, audio, and compelling media. Video editing, promotional content, podcast production and management. You give the mission a voice that reaches people wherever they are.

MARKETING & DEVELOPMENT Growing the resources and the reach so more families can be served. Fundraising strategy, donor opportunity coordination, partnership development. You work with Events to turn awareness into action and action into sustained support.

SOCIAL MEDIA Amplifying the mission across platforms so the story of freedom spreads. Social media strategy, content posting, platform management. You work with Content Creation to make sure every post serves the mission and reaches the right people.
